Over the past 25 years RJE has developed various program scheduling, switching and automation applications for the broadcasting industry. During this time the major clients to use these products are the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), the Specical Brodcasting Service (SBS) and Sky Radio Networks.
The latest RJE broadcasting Scheduling/Switching and routing application is the CRISP3 application currently used by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation throughout Australia. CRISP3 has evolved out a number of previous RJE applications that allow broadcasters to schedule and route their programs across their networks.
CRISP consists of various software components that simplify the tasks needed to prepare, schedule and route events from a source to numerous destinations at a specific time. CRISP3 is developed in C# and Microsoft SQL Server
CRISP3 Components:
CRISP3 is used by the ABC Radio in every capital city throughout Australia to schedule and route their programs to air, with the exception of their Sydney Ultimo site
The ROSS scheduling and routing system allows broadcasters to schedule and route their programs across their networks. The ROSS extensively uses program templates which are copied to a live schedule for switching
The various ROSS components are as follows:
The ROSS application is used by ABC Radio in their Sydney Ultimo site to schedule and route their programs to air
The NRS system is a Event scheduling and routing application that allows broadcasters to create and execute daily program schedules. A unique feature of the NRS is it can book or reserve resources to ensure outputs can not be used by new events for a selected period of time.
NRS Components are as follows:
The NRS application is used by ABC Radio in their Sydney Ultimo site to schedule and route their programs to air
RJE developed a program sheduling and routing system for SBS to broadcaster their radio programs from both their Sydney and Melbourne studios. The system was designed around RJE's usual components, being a scheduling Client application supported by a seperate switching application with both accessing a common SQL database.
RJE initally installed a prototype version of the ABC Radio Scheduling and Switching at SBS in 1997 and subsequently developed a new application in 2002 to accommodate specfic SBS requirements.
The various SBS components are as follows:
The SBS application is used by SBS Radio in their Sydney and Melbourne sites to schedule and route their radio programs to air
